Barbara Kenton who now resides in Tennessee is a Singer/Songwriter, musician, who produces her own music. With a wide arrangement of music styles from Country, to Gospel and pop rock.
Barbara started her career as a musician in Los Angeles, California in the Punk Rock Movement. Her first gig was at the Cookoos Nest in Costa Mesa, California opening for the Gogo's and the playing guitar in a band called Steamin Freeman. Her next move was to New York City where she formed a band called the Jetz and played local clubs like CBGB’s and Maxes Kanses City.
Shortly after moving to Berlin, Barbara and Kordula Honnef formed the band "The Refugees" which recorded a short album at Hansa Studios in Berlin.
Barbara has used her gifts and talents as a Worship Leader after returning to America and finding her faith in God. She has an amazing ability to flow Spontaneous in Worship and is also gifted as an inspirational Songwriter
After moving to Tennesee in 2024, Barbara is starting to record and release new songs, she will be playing local Venues such as Coffee Shops and Clubs and is excited about the new songs and sounds.
